Steve Gibson, SNORT and a lot of drinking

Drink, Drink, Drink. That is what I did after the
worst video conference attempt with Marc Norton the
lead developer of SNORT. The whole damn thing
went wrong. Luckily I did have a plan "D" which
was to solder a headset to a cell phone. That
worked but after more than three hours of Lei,
Bartender and myself trying to get a connection
to work properly on Windows XP, it still did not
work out the way we wanted. Phew!
Well I live and learn. Hopefully IVU can get a Mac Mini to ship to our next few speakers so that it will work perfectly. Don't hold your breath.
There was one bright moment in the meeting for me. Steve Gibson from GRC.COM came to an actual meeting. That was great. I knew hist company was located in South O.C. and want to always invite him to a meet. That was important for me. It was a way to make or group worth a little more. I am not sure what my goal is with the group but will continue with the momentum and see what happens next.
